Item Details

Victorian seed or grain drill, just perfect to use as bench with storage. This is completely untouched and in its original paint finish which I have left it dry and unwaxed although it would look amazing with wax on it. The red is just perfect, sunbaked to perfection. The gold `Superior` logo stands proud. The drill was originally manufactured in America and was imported to England where it lead an active life in Blofield, Norfolk. The cast plates on the side spell out the manufacturing details. There is a stenciled tag inside one of the lids which indicates the Norfolk keeper. Internally there are a number of troughs perfect for storage which would have held seed and sieve into the the drill itself which is visible on the underside. There are a number of lacerations on the front edge of the seat itself which are the result of when it was dragged behind horse or tractor. It displays these scars proudly and is part of the charm.
