Item Details

Beautiful Antique Roll Top Desk and also known as a Tambour Front desk. These stunning desks were first designed in the late Victorian times in Walnut or Mahogany and during the Edwardian times they were very popular and English Oak were used.
Typical of its era and popular makers such as Waring and Gillows, Lebus and Angus of London, this Desk is made true to form. With twin pedestals, each having graduating drawers, with a pull out writing slide, it has the tambour slatted fronts.

The interior is so intriguing with the myriad of pigeon holes, letter racks and areas to put your stamps and pens. The top rolls down smoothly and automatically locks all the drawers when the tambour front closes and is locked with the original key.
The sides and back are panelled which is just lovely, giving you that option to pop this glorious desk in any place in your room.
This desk has the ability to be split into sections but will be delivered in one piece, (with the drawers out of course, to make it lighter).
It is in immaculate condition, the tambour sliding section is very smooth.
This Antique Desk is enchanting; it has been very well loved and incredibly well looked after. The colours of the wood are stunning and truly lovely.
It has a key to lock the desk as described above.
The chair comes with the desk.
