An impressive set of six Vintage, near Antique, Oak dining or kitchen Chairs.
-Oak made, which originally come from the Library of Edinburgh University, 1920/30's
-Recently been upholstered in a hard-wearing upholstery fabric in three lovely, but slightly different colours which fit into any colour palette.
-The seat pads drop into the frame, the front corners are nicely rounded, a lovely detail.
-Good weight, and stand well-proportioned with a middle stretcher, giving them a comfort bar and stability to the frame.
-The back to these chairs are so pretty with the cut out splat and shield, and the splay of the wood is slightly reminiscent of 'Hepplewhite Shield' characteristics.
-Each chair fabric has been gently cleaned and are in very good condition.
-These Chairs have obviously been sat upon and worn appropriately and this has given the wood lovely colours such as light chestnut, walnut and dark umber; they have some age related small old indentations and marks.
-The Vintage Oak Chairs themselves have an aesthetic quality about them.
-These Vintage Chairs have good provenance and history.
-We tend to all our furniture, garden or home, we clean gently and we deliberately choose to not over polish and leave pieces as is, with their historic patina.
-h 98cm - floor to top of back bar
-h 46cm - floor to seat
-w 43cm - back bar
-w 46cm - front of seat pad
-d 47cm - back to front edge

*We kindly ask you to please check your measurements and space requirements before you commit to purchasing this item - measurements surrounding stairs and around any balustrade and handrails are vital.

The items we sell are antique and vintage condition, with some signs of commensurate ‘wear‘ with age and use as to be expected for its age.
You will find scuffs, light scratches, all normal wear you would expect from antique and vintage furniture.

We tend to all our furniture, garden or home, very carefully; we clean gently but we deliberately choose to not over polish and leave pieces as is, with their historic patina.

All measurements are taken at the widest or deepest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.

All our pieces of furniture are treated for woodworm, if appropriate, for your peace of mind as much as for ours.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask us, we are here to help.

We are always very happy to speak to our customers in person, so if there is anything you would like to know about a particular item please do get in touch:

Telephone John on his Mobile 07525 629644 - up until 9.00pm daily.
