Antique French Bee Skep -E

An antique French bee skep constructed from rye straw.

The Bee Skep are lovely decorative garden features as well as stunning interior accessories or turned into a rustic light shade. We have seen them used previously as garden cloches.

Origin: Normandy, France

Circa: 1920s

Workshop Report: The bee skep is in good structural condition with some wear to the straw in places.

As with all our products, This product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.

Mayfly Vintage is an online industrial and vintage furniture and homeware shop based in Hampshire, England. Our style is an eclectic mix from the industrial look to old school furniture and French vintage.

Mayfly Vintage was established after years of my husband and I collecting vintage pieces of furniture and homeware in the UK and across Europe. We started off selling at the monthly Winchester Vintage Market and now exhibit at antiques fairs in the South of England alongside our online store.
