Original Copper GECoRAY Wall Light

MAYFLY VINTAGE
An early silver backed glass pendant by British manufacturer ‘GEC’ entitled the ‘GECoRAY’

The metalwork has been polished back revealing a lovely copper gallery and brass wall bracket. The glass shade left in a untouched condition.
These lights were scientifically designed for the illumination of shop windows after hours and formed part of a range of reflectors of superior quality, this example bearing the label GECoRAY Made in England’ c.1925.

The Light can be adjusted up and down by a thumb screw on the wall bracket.

Lights are been rewired with 1m of grey 3 core fabric flex and bayonet lampholder.

Mayfly Vintage was established after years of my husband and I collecting vintage pieces of furniture and homeware in the UK and across Europe. We started off selling at the monthly Winchester Vintage Market and now exhibit at antiques fairs in the South of England alongside our online store.
