Outstanding 17th century oak chest with intricate carvings and marquetry base.

The coats of arms depict two facing eagles, fleur de lys and castles, linking the chest to the House of Bourbon. The empire ruled across much of southwestern Europe from the 13th to 19th century, with Franco-Spanish influences evident with the chest.

This piece is in very good condition with wear commensurate with age.
