A Napoleon III gypsy table. French, c. 1870.
Featuring a baize-upholstered top raised on ebonised and gilt faux bamboo supports.
All structurally sound with attractive wear to lower stretchers from use. The table folds down for ease of transport and storage. One of the two carved hooks is missing as shown, though the metal catch is still present allowing the mechanism to function as it should.
