This metal banded wooden crate contains 10 glass bottles, all intact. A red stamp is faintly visible on the crate. It looks as if it reads ‘Surany’, which is likely, as Surany is in Slovakia, and this type of bottle was widely used in Eastern Europe for making vinegar. The bottles have heavy bases and narrow necks, and look very effective with a single stem flower in each, but are also an attractive decorative item without.

Mole Vintage is run by husband and wife, Kevin and Sara Moore and grew out of our shared enthusiasm for sourcing unusual and characterful vintage items.  We are not especially interested in (or expert about) high-end antiques, or followers of current trends, nor bound by a particular period, but we are drawn to pieces which have a strong presence.  Either because of their inherent quality and design, or because they are something unique or eye-catching.

Much, but not all, of our furniture, lighting, mirrors and decorative items are sourced in France, where we have developed a great network of local dealers since we started six years ago.
