Item Description
Decorative 19th century four-panel folding screen, with tapestry upper sections and hessian lower sections. The scene in the tapestry depicts 18th century figures in a pastoral scene with foliage, classical urns and statues. The tapestry is on one side only, with the reverse in hessian. This is in its original, unrestored condition, and the tapestry is faded to soft, muted green and sepia colours with some brighter reds on the clothing of the figures, which gives it a lovely aged feel. An ideal room divider or prop.
