A very large bamboo Doko basket, used by tea pickers in Nepal. The basket still has the arm straps made out of old rice sacks. But these could easily be removed. The narrow base means that the basket won’t stand unsupported. It would look great fixed to the wall as storage or display.

65 cm high x 55 cm diameter at the top
(17 cm x 17 cm at base)

Mole Vintage is run by husband and wife, Kevin and Sara Moore and grew out of our shared enthusiasm for sourcing unusual and characterful vintage items.  We are not especially interested in (or expert about) high-end antiques, or followers of current trends, nor bound by a particular period, but we are drawn to pieces which have a strong presence.  Either because of their inherent quality and design, or because they are something unique or eye-catching.

Much, but not all, of our furniture, lighting, mirrors and decorative items are sourced in France, where we have developed a great network of local dealers since we started six years ago.
