20th Century English Painted Pine Bank of Drawers

Early 20th Century industrial Schoolhouse painted pine bank of 8 drawers. Originally made for and permanently fitted in an English Girls school, they were removed in the 1980s and used for fabric and notion storage in a local haberdashers. The slightly stepped drawers have been painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Off Black’ satin paint and fitted with new good quality brass drawer pulls. The pine tops have been treated to a gentle coat of wax to retain the paint drips and marks that have been collected over the years. The drawers of this very attractive piece are free running and clean inside.
