A lovely table lamp converted from a Ringtons tea caddy, c1930s.

The tall caddy was made by Maling for Ringtons Tea. The design is 'Cathedrals' featuring Ripon Cathedral, Hexham Abbey, Newcastle Cathedral, Selby Abbey, York Minster and Carlisle Cathedral around the body and Durham Cathedral on the cover. The base has the backstamp: Ringtons Ltd Tea Merchants Algernon Road Newcastle on Tyne, Maling Ware.

The lamp has a brass bulb holder, ivory fabric twist cable and black plug and is PAT tested and ready to go.

No43Collectables is the husband and wife team of Gaynor and Dave Prior. Based in Cumbria and named after one of their pet sheep, No43, they have a passion for renovation and treasure hunting.

Gaynor is the main buyer, with a love of chinoiserie, faux bamboo, carved oak, vintage movie posters, bones, Sex Pistols and anything with an elephant. She basically buys what she loves or whatever catches her eye. Dave, on the other hand, can turn his hand to most renovation projects and specialises in lighting.
