A lovely table lamp converted from a Ringtons tea caddy, made by Maling in 1929.

The caddy is the squat version of canister produced for the North-East Coast Industries Exhibition. Around the body of the canister are featured: Wearmouth Bridge Sunderland, Royal Tweed Bridge Berwick, High Level & Swing Bridges Newcastle, The New Tyne Bridge Newcastle, and St Nicholas Cathedral Newcastle.

The base has a blue printed backstamp TR (Ringtons Tea) with a picture of the Ringtons offices & Warehouse Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and underneath Maling Ware Regd Nos 745864-5.

The lamp has a brass bulb holder, ivory fabric twist cable and black plug and is PAT tested and ready to go.
