A beautiful early 18th century antique oak coffer with planked top and carved detailing. The antique oak coffer has a two plank hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior with a candle box to the right hand side. The antique oak coffer has a three panel front with beautiful carved detailing above. Raised on stile feet. A rather pleasing example of its kind.
Item Ref; M-3733
Height – 74cm / Width – 128cm / Depth – 59cm
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related wood splits to the lid surface and feet (pictured). There are also scratches, dents, and shrinkage to the lid surface, as well as marks and scratches around the front and sides (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a good clean example.
