1930s 'smith' Industrial factory electric clock

POACHERS BARN
Well used factory wall clock. Clearly has been in an industrial or exterior setting due to condition - please see all photographs. This, however adds to its charm
Metal casing. Not a great deal known about the clock's history but 'Smith' made these from 1931 onwards with this branding but I cant find reference to casing or shape of hands. We do not know if this clock is in working order, the turning lever on base pushes in and does work to adjust hands / time. The clock would need re-wiring or converting (reflected in price) - therefore has not been electrically safety tested. Although, it would also make a beautiful focal point on a wall in non working condition.

DIMENSIONS:
Diameter of casing at widest point (back): 41cm
Diameter of glass: 29.5cm
Depth: 9cm
Quite heavy

POSTAGE: UK Please add £12.75 to total for delivery via Royal Mail Parcelforce.
Will be very well wrapped and boxed

Dimensions:

  • H: 41cm (16.14in)
  • D: 9cm (3.54in)

Period:

1930s

POACHERS BARN is a news business set up by an old hand at vintage antiques.  Selling online and based in West Sussex, any viewings will be by appointment only.

Poacher's Barn sells furniture, both rustic and modernist, and unusual decorative items often re-purposed from rural pursuits and the industrial past; we also sell some higher end mid century pieces.

We source our stock from UK and European markets and auctions, really buying anything that catch our eye and we think may consequently appeal to our customers. Age of pieces usually range from the 19th century through to the 1950s.
