1950s ITALIAN 'STRING' STOOLS
SELLER: POACHER'S BARN

As seen outside many bars and gardens across Italy. Iconic low stools from 1950s - 60s brought back from Italy by us. Seats constructed from coloured plastic 'string' in remarkably good condition for age; a couple of tiny marks but structurally fine. One dark red, one bright sherbet yellow. Black skinny metal frames in elegant 'smiley' shape with angled legs and all feet tips present. There is some bending to metal and slight evidence of surface rust; however we have re-finihed the black paint as per original and made sure they stand straight. Recommended for fairly lightweight or decorative use, eg. in a bedroom or as a magazine table; although useable as seats due to thin frames they will not support a lot of weight over an extended period.

DIMENSIONS: Each stool is slightly different size:
RED - H.44 W.39 D.28
YELLOW: H.42 W.41 D.32

Able to be posted via Royal Mail Parcelforce in UK for £8

POACHERS BARN is a news business set up by an old hand at vintage antiques.  Selling online and based in West Sussex, any viewings will be by appointment only.

Poacher's Barn sells furniture, both rustic and modernist, and unusual decorative items often re-purposed from rural pursuits and the industrial past; we also sell some higher end mid century pieces.

We source our stock from UK and European markets and auctions, really buying anything that catch our eye and we think may consequently appeal to our customers. Age of pieces usually range from the 19th century through to the 1950s.
