An unusually white lacquered wooden box with decorative metal mounts which opens up to reveal a red-fitted interior with four removable internal compartments each representing the four different suits, hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades.
Each internal box is full of gaming tokens (or jetons) in different colours and shapes.
Possibly originally used for Tontine or another French game.
It is in good vintage condition, there is some wear commensurate with age but nothing serious.
Measuring 21cm wide x 15cm deep x 6cm high.
