Antique Educational Aid

Dating from 1852 these were originally produced by the Working Men's Educational Union,

They were coloured for optimum viewing under gaslight and produced to be visible from a distance.

Roughly measures 120cm x 90cm.

It is in excellent vintage condition with a small amount of wear and tear as can be seen from photos.

There are some slightly later examples held in the V&A and Greenwich Museums and the latter have made prints and tote bags out of them.
