Industrial work stool designed by Robert Wagner & manufactured by his company Rowac ( Robert Wagner Chemnitz ) in 1920s Germany.
Rowac was a hardware factory founded by Carl Robert Wagner in 1888 in Chemnitz, Germany which most notably produced furniture for industrial use. Carl Robert Wagner is regarded as the inventor of the steel stool, which among other things was chosen for the workshops and classrooms of the Bauhaus Dessau by the founder of the Bauhaus movement Walter Grophius.
Steel lacquered frame with its original ash wooden seat which has been beautifully restored & waxed. Embossed " ROWAC " emblem stamped into the steel frame on the under side of the stool. Completely cleaned & made ready for home or office use.
