Here for sale is an interesting and beautiful carved wooden set of book ends. One book end is the coat of arms of Trinity College and the other book end has the Cambridge Coat of Arms.

On the underside is the inscription Rev. W. Bent Grenside with J.H Bowen's Kind regards Jan 1892.

William Bent Greenside was at Trinity college in the 1840's and was later the vicar of Melling. We assume that this is the Rev W. Bent Grenside mentioned as he would have been in this position around 1892.

We therefore presume that the book ends pre date this period and were a gift, possibly from a younger man (at Trinity) to an older mentor.

Lovely item full of history.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We are a family company and love sourcing unusual pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
