An antique shop counter display cabinet by Parnall & Sons.
A beautiful, early glazed shop display cabinet with twin rear doors, two glass shelves supported by brass brackets. Original glazing all around & finished with a nice enamel maker's plaque.
Parnall & Sons were established in 1820 by William Parnall & by the 1880's were the largest shop fitting company in England.
c1900
Wear commensurate with age, showing numerous signs of its past in the retail industry, good overall & displays well. The base of the cabinet is lined in the original milk glass which has a crack & chip to the corner (easily removed but prefer to keep original!).
Collection a must due to glass, please enquire if you'd like to send a courier or have us look into one on your behalf.

Welcome to Room 8 Interiors!

Specialising in interesting vintage, antique & very often unique period items including lighting, furniture, advertising & decorative pieces. Over the last few years, I've supplied interior designers, television & film companies, major retail outlets & individual collectors and buyers in the UK & beyond through various online selling sites. I take a keen interest in anything which looks like it has a story to tell, love a 'bit of character' & remain fascinated with old typography, curios of a bygone era and travel & retail related pieces. While much of my business is conducted online, viewings are available by appointment so please don't hesitate to get in touch & I look forward to hearing from you!
