Item Details

I have never seen a piece like this outside of a museum and even then they are significantly worse condition than this example. This is am 18th century temple or shrine figure made of papier mache from Kashmir. The painted details are all original and have not lost their colour which is great to see. There is splits and losses all over but this is a fragile piece and to be in this good condition is rare to see. The size is very decorative and only needs the addition of a simple stand as it currently does not stand up on its own.
