19th century teaching alphabets

We share what we love, and we love this late 19th Century assortment of hand-crafted bone alphabets, used as a teaching aid at some point, encased in a delightful period box. This assortment is made up of 180 alphabets, each square is double sided with upper- and lower-case letters.

Age: 1890 - 1910
Completely solid in structure and form, Natural aging across all surfaces. Faded lettering. The wooden box shows a deep patina and natural aging. The box is without a key.
