19th Century English hand carved gold gilt wall panel fragment
We are proud to offer an original highly decorative English 19th Century hand carved wall panel in the form of a basket full or fruit and flowers. Still with its original gold gilt paint still intact, detailing several fruit forms, leaves and foliage nestled in a weaved basket. With its original screws still in place at the base and upon the reverse.
Size in inches or ark: H 16” x W 24” x D 4”
Origin: English
Period: 19th Century
Material: Pine
Condition: This item is completely solid in structure and form. Wear and tear is present through faded surface and flaked gold gilt paint. The wood itself is worn and aged as you would expect from an item of this nature. The base is weathered with flaking wood however firm in place. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.

It’s quite simple. We buy what we like. We believe that extraordinary items are owned by extraordinary people who live in extraordinary spaces. We are driven by the passion to unearth and offer the most unusual, decorative and rarest objects.

Our house style is probably best described as artistic, theatrical and, even macabre.

We often get asked by our clients, “Where did you find that?” The answer is always the same. Look hard enough and you will find what you seek.
