19th Century Bootmakers Trade Signage
We are proud to offer a late 19th Century framed boot makers stain glass trade sign in the form of the work repair. Made from cut ruby red and hand beaten effect glass sections and joined with lead finish. This example has recently been framed in a hand wood to protect its form and so it can easily be hung for decorative purposes.
Size: W 38” x H 16” x D 1.4”
Condition: Age through natural wear and tear is present across this item, the lead sections show a natural patination. The wooden frame has been waxed using a natural beeswax to protect it. Hanging hooks are in place but this item doesn’t come with a hanging chain. Overall structurally firm in form and very good unbroken condition considering this advertising example is over 100 years old.

  • H: 41cm (16in)
  • W: 97cm (38in)
  • D: 4cm (1.4in)

It’s quite simple. We buy what we like. We believe that extraordinary items are owned by extraordinary people who live in extraordinary spaces. We are driven by the passion to unearth and offer the most unusual, decorative and rarest objects.

Our house style is probably best described as artistic, theatrical and, even macabre.

We often get asked by our clients, “Where did you find that?” The answer is always the same. Look hard enough and you will find what you seek.
