Early 20th Century Black Japanned Chinoiserie Floor Lamp
An early twentieth century turned and black japanned wooden floor lamp base, decorated with gilded chinoiseries. A lovely decorative example in untouched form, with bun feet, both decorated with gilt foliage, exotic birds, pagodas, and figures on a black ground. Wired to UK Standards. This lamp can be rewired to all international specifications, The lamp shade is not for sale and only used for presentation purposes.
Size in inches approx.: H 63” x W 13.5 x D 13.3” (from base to bulb holder)
Period: Early 20th Century
Material: Pine
Origin: United Kingdom
Condition: Good

Completely solid in structure and form, worn and faded surface displays scuffs and scratches. The base shows a superficial hairline paint crack, this is strong and stable and been present for many years. In overall very presentable and good condition considering its age and previous use.

This object is over 80 years old as the photos aim to illustrate the detail, however it is exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas on this piece. Therefore, we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections / condition is unclear to avoid disappointment when purchasing.
