Mid - 19th century Crib Figure Bust
A wonderful example of a mid - 19th century Italian hand carved crib figure bust. Glass eyes and original paint still intact. This artifact is mounted to a bespoke velour base, the bust is removeable, this item has a great macabre look to it as shown untouched in form.
Size in inches: H 4.5” x W 2.5” x D 2” (without stand)
Origin: Italian
Period: 1840 - 1860
Material: Pine
Condition: Completely solid in structure and form, fading and wear across all this items surface. The nose of this item is chipped and the paint and surface if naturally worn as shown. The stand is also faded, and we believe dates to the early 1900s. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.

Period:

1850
