Unusual Mid-20th Century Fairground face

We are proud to offer a very unusual English fairground ride prop face. Made from a fibrous form and hand painted detail. An unusual latch slot to the reverse as shown would have likely meant it was fixed to a support bracket of sorts and likely accompanied by several other examples on a fairground ride.

Size in inches approx.: H 9” x W 6.5” x D 4”
Period: Mid-20th Century
Material: Fibre glass and iron
Origin: English
Condition: Aged

Completely solid in structure and form, worn surface, loss in certain areas and aged over time naturally. There is damage and loss to the fibre glass surface as shown

It is exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas on this piece. Therefore, we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections / condition is unclear to avoid disappointment when purchasing.

Period:

1950
