Set of 3 English Fairground Shooting Targets
We are proud to offer a set of 3 English hand painted folk art metal shooting targets. Made from sheets of heavy cast metal, all hand painted, and fully working mechanisms still intact. The aim to the game is to shoot the targets and when aimed into the central bullseye the metal diamond shape paddle flips back to mark a score. The 3 targets are securely fitted to an upright pole, The item does stand alone as photographed but can be wall mounted with drilled holes if you wish to display them in this manner. Dating from the mid – 20th century these examples are untouched in form and presented as found recently from a fairground showman in Cornwall.
Size in inches: H 28” x W 7.5” x D 10”
Origin: English
Period: 1950 - 1960

It’s quite simple. We buy what we like. We believe that extraordinary items are owned by extraordinary people who live in extraordinary spaces. We are driven by the passion to unearth and offer the most unusual, decorative and rarest objects.

Our house style is probably best described as artistic, theatrical and, even macabre.

We often get asked by our clients, “Where did you find that?” The answer is always the same. Look hard enough and you will find what you seek.
