19th Century English Folk art Agricultural Farmers Cow feeding Carved Horn.
A lovely example of a late 19th century (1833) English hand carved folk art calf feeding horn. This item would likely have been used to feed newly born calf’s who wont drink from their mothers and therefore kept in isolation at a farm. The horn would have been filled with milk and then feed to the calf by hand. The horn shows lots of natural aging across its surface, etched with numbers, dates and initials as shown. A lovely piece of English folk art. Surprisingly the pine stop cocks are still in place as shown.
