Early 20th Century Cast Iron Folk art Galleon Weathervane
We are proud to offer an early 20th Century example of a cast metal hand crafted weathervane in the form of a galleon. Scratch built from metal sheets/ wrought iron with some original paint still visible across its surface. Wrought iron décor and supporting brackets at its detachable base.
Size in inches: H 28” x W 39” x D 6”
Origin: English
Period: Early 20th Century
Material: Wrought Iron and metal sheets
Condition: Completely solid in structure and form. Wear and tear present through fading across the painted surface and a natural patina across the exposed sections which have elements of rust. its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
