Early - 20th Century Signed Black Forest Hunting Scene
We are proud to offer a delightful hand carved figure of an early 20th Century black forest hunting scene. With a well-dressed huntsman listening for pray with riffle in hand, and 2 hunting dogs at the ready. The dogs have a lovely folk-art appeal and overall, the carved is very well executed in form. Signed on the reverse H. Bachler, mounted to an ebonised base.
Size in inches: H10” x W 7” x D 5”
Origin: German
Period: Early 20th Century

Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.

It’s quite simple. We buy what we like. We believe that extraordinary items are owned by extraordinary people who live in extraordinary spaces. We are driven by the passion to unearth and offer the most unusual, decorative and rarest objects.

Our house style is probably best described as artistic, theatrical and, even macabre.

We often get asked by our clients, “Where did you find that?” The answer is always the same. Look hard enough and you will find what you seek.
