An unusual 19th Century carved Spanish Lace wood bowl. Naively carved from one piece of Lace wood in Spain in the 19th century. It is chip carved on the lip and has a zig zag border around the top edge of the bowl. The bottom has been carved with lines. It is intact and has a great dry handle. It is in its original condition with no waxes or varnishes. Would make for a great centre piece or a fruit bowl. The lace wood itself naturally has an amazing net like pattern.

Initially inspired by the interior at The Mint in Rye (our 15th century holiday let in Rye, East Sussex) and requests to purchase items by clients while staying, we decided to start sourcing and selling so people could do just that.

Based between London and East Sussex we have built up a network of specialist sources that we pull from to create the unique edit that is The Mint in Rye.  We offer a mix of vintage textiles, primitive furniture, curios, first edition books, vintage film posters and antique carved oak.  These are not chosen for their age, but very much for their aesthetic appeal.  The visual still remains true to The Mint interior style, but has broadened to include vintage elements that have the same unique view point.

To view the collection, please contact Barrie on +44 (0)7714 764708.  Dependant on the pieces you are interested in, they may be in East Sussex or in London.
