 Original Master Drawings of Letters A to Z and Punctuation Marks England 1908 – 1942

A Collection of original hand rendered master drawings of letters and punctuations, individually dated and originally used as the matrices for making brass moulds at the Linotype Foundry in Manchester, Northern England. Mounted and framed, these unique slices of British industrial history make the perfect personalised gift.

We have all letters available, some double and triple letters and some punctuation marks and icons. They are listed in separate blocks on our website. Contact us by e-mail or dm if you wish to ask about specific letters or icons and we can send you the link for what is available.

Initially inspired by the interior at The Mint in Rye (our 15th century holiday let in Rye, East Sussex) and requests to purchase items by clients while staying, we decided to start sourcing and selling so people could do just that.

Based between London and East Sussex we have built up a network of specialist sources that we pull from to create the unique edit that is The Mint in Rye.  We offer a mix of vintage textiles, primitive furniture, curios, first edition books, vintage film posters and antique carved oak.  These are not chosen for their age, but very much for their aesthetic appeal.  The visual still remains true to The Mint interior style, but has broadened to include vintage elements that have the same unique view point.
