Vintage French Wood ‘Bamboo’ Mirror France C1930/40

A vintage wooden mirror in the rustic ‘Bamboo’ style, synonymous with French country décor of the 1930’s – 40’s. With some pleasing age to the mirror and light age to the wood, these are fine examples of their type, both with original metal hanging chain intact.

Originally placed over the kitchen sink, when houses did not traditionally have a bath room these now make great statement pieces in a contemporary rustic interior.
We have two pieces available in slightly different sizes and decoration, however they complement one another perfectly.

Initially inspired by the interior at The Mint in Rye (our 15th century holiday let in Rye, East Sussex) and requests to purchase items by clients while staying, we decided to start sourcing and selling so people could do just that.

Based between London and East Sussex we have built up a network of specialist sources that we pull from to create the unique edit that is The Mint in Rye.  We offer a mix of vintage textiles, primitive furniture, curios, first edition books, vintage film posters and antique carved oak.  These are not chosen for their age, but very much for their aesthetic appeal.  The visual still remains true to The Mint interior style, but has broadened to include vintage elements that have the same unique view point.

To view the collection, please contact Barrie on +44 (0)7714 764708.  Dependant on the pieces you are interested in, they may be in East Sussex or in London.
