An oil painting indistinctly signed depicting a figure holding what might be an agricultural tool in a courtyard. The use of darker colours gives this painting a warm feel about it. Judging by the frame we date this to the 1970s. We also believe this to be French. Some imperfections to the frame and craquelure to painting but in overall good condition. A large painting ready to hang and enjoy.

Welcome to The Tractor Shed.

Having left my profession as a lawyer, I had the opportunity to turn my attention to my real passion: buying and selling antiques of all eras.

I quickly found that the best way forward was to buy what I like; items that make my heart flutter on seeing them for the first time and that I would like to have in my own home. I hope you feel exactly the same way when you look through my collection.

The name 'The Tractor Shed' came about after doing some research into the origins of my family home. We discovered that it was converted from the offices of a business where tractors were restored and sold in the 1960s and 1970s, keeping them going for decades. With this ethos of preserving things rather then pursuing the often-throwaway attitude we so often now see, I started my small business dealing in beautiful items that deserve to be with us for years to come.

Opening hours: Mon - Sat 10am to 6pm. I'm very happy to take calls at any reasonable times outside of these hours, esepcially for those clients where there is a time difference. Please don't hesitate to contact me as I would be delighted to assist to you.
