This charming piece came from a shop in Sparty Lea Northumberland. It was used as a post office counter by a lady that ran the shop for most of her life.

The chest of drawers has a sloping top that lifts open. The inside had been lined with paper so is in fairly clean condition and the outside has years of wear with gorgeous chipped paint on the counter top. It's quirky and fabulous and could be used for various things such as a restaurant counter, artist desk or just as a chest of drawers - still has a key.

Welcome to 'The Vintage Rooms', an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage furniture and accessories that will enhance and add charm to any interior.

I started buying vintage and antiques in 2013 but my love of 'old things' goes back many years.

I hope to inspire creativity and highlight the pleasure of owning vintage pieces. I'm a great believer in the fushion of old and new, adding character and personality from vintage pieces to further enhance your home. My stock is a diverse mix of periods with unique items that can't be found on the High Street.

Happy shopping - Sam Breckner
