1930s French Leather Club Armchair

Restored early 20th century French studded bulls hide club armchair with unusual headrest. The slightly reclined position, headrest and reupholstered seat make this an incredibly comfortable chair for its age.

Fully restored seat, springs and cushion.

We have saved as much of the original leather as possible to retain its aged character and replaced the badly ripped areas at the sides and front with a top quality Italian nubuck skin which will age nicely over time.

The feather seat cushion has a 100% organic cotton cushion cover which is removable and machine washable.

Vintage France Design is a British and French team of antiques and design enthusiasts who hunt for, import and restore French furniture, homewares and decorative antiques.

We look for fun, quirky, well-made, beautifully designed, rustic and industrial pieces with that all important age and patina.

Vintage France Design is run and managed by Milena and Marcus Frisby from their HQ near the Channel Tunnel with help from their France-based team of hunters.

Milena’s passion for antiques came from her French and American parents who were pioneers in the French architectural reclamation business in the 1970s.

Our searches take us to old houses, fairs and brocantes in far-flung corners of France where we find interesting items to sell for sensible prices via our website.

The images on the homepage of our website are from world-renowned urban explorer photographer Daan Oude Elferink who searches for beauty in decay in old, abandoned European historic buildings. We share his passion for beauty in age within the items that once sat in them.
