A very beautiful set of French dining chairs.. in the style of Louis XVI but dating from 1930. The wooden frames are very pretty, they have lovely carved detail and the velvet upholstery is stunning.. to touch it feels like silk velvet, but I can't imagine anyone putting silk velvet onto dining chairs... but it really is so soft. The upholstery is original.. in amazing condition.. the piping is worn very slightly in some places.. but actually it enhances the chairs rather than detracts. The chairs have been little used.. are delicate but durable and would look amazing in an eclectic home.
