This is a substantial Victorian pine dresser base or sideboard which dates to the late 19th century.
Made of solid pine this piece is well made, very heavy and solid and is ideal for use in a dining room or kitchen, it would also make a good shop counter in a retail setting.
The sideboard is fitted with two large sliding doors and two wide drawers, all offering masses of internal storage space for crockery, pots and pans etc.
The drawers are finished with brass cup handles.
The pine is a lovely mellow colour and has a waxed finish, the wood is very characterful looking.
This piece is generally in very good structural condition with cosmetic marks commensurate of age and use.
The top has had a piece of pine added at the back to fill a narrow gap which would have once accommodated a top section.
There is no evidence of woodworm.
