A portrait of an African male who is crushing something in a small mortar. The portrait is drawn with charcoal on paper and is signed in the right hand corner. The signage reads the location where the man lives, Banzyville and the year is was made, 1944. The monogram of the artist is visible as well, which is CP.The paper shows some signs of age, with a few brown spots here and there.
