Add instant character with reclaimed and salvaged items
It’s here! Hoarde Vintage’s salvage section is now open for business. We’ll be gradually adding new dealers over the next few months and it’ll become a busy little area.
We’ve been thinking about it for a while now as it makes sense to display salvaged items alongside other pieces for the home and garden.
When you’re building or renovating, it can be difficult to find the right type of hardware or architectural element to match your style/period of home. By bringing the best yards together in one place, we’re hoping to make it much easier.
Salvaged items, with their distinctive textures and time-worn stories, can add so much charm to your home or garden. They soften the harshness often brought about by new building styles and provide an authentic sense of history.
When you're renovating a property, or landscaping a garden, you’ll often find that you’re missing a few key items that match a certain period or style. But tracking down what you need can be time-consuming, as some yards are small and specialised, whereas others are broader in what they offer.
In these situations, yard owners are happy to take your wish list and contact you when they discover something that fits your criteria. On Hoarde Vintage, we have a stock request option that notifies all dealers that you’re searching for something specific. When you complete this, you’ll receive responses from anyone that has a suitable match. Or if no-one has what you’re looking for, you can be assured that many will keep their eyes peeled.
So whether you’re renovating, building or just simply updating your home/garden, hopefully you’ll find the new architectural salvage area useful. As always, your feedback is very welcome.
If you’re a dealer of architectural salvage or reclaimed items and would like to join Hoarde Vintage, please contact Jane Walton at [email protected] for more information.
