Wonderful and original ice cream shop display sign.

An original piece, and despite its weight, is almost certainly made from fibreglass.

Flakes were added to ice creams from around 1920, and I would estimate that this dates to anytime between 1930 - 1960.

At some point it has been repainted so very good condition for its age, displaying only minor age-related wear to paint.

Ive seen these attached the side of houses and they look fantastic, as well as being used decoratively indoors.

Please see the fixing in the last photo, there is also a bolt at the bottom too.
