Item Description
Antique Scottish Quarter-Cran Herring Basket, an early example c1900-20. Approximately 18 inches in height with a top diameter of 2 foot & weighs around 4 kg. Obvious signs of use and wear, these beautiful baskets were used to both take the catch off the boats & measure the quantity of herring at the same time. These days they are ideal for logs or line them with moss & plant up.
