We adore these evocative & charming period mantle figurines, in timeless beautiful colours. From the moment these were made, the odds were stacked against them surviving for any length of time. Dating to the late 1920s early 1930s they are made of chalkware (plaster of paris). Individually hand painted. The majority of these figurines must have been broken within a few years of production & simply thrown away. Its a small miracle these have survived & being a matching pair is all the better. There are of course minor marks, knocks, chips etc, but there are no major cracks or old repairs. They display beautifully & we are sure you will adore them just as much as we do. Sale is for the pair & includes delivery within the United Kingdom. They will be packed extremely well.
