Item Details

Unusual English highly ornate antique bronze letter box mounting surround. Mid 19th-century in date. Most likely commissioned for a grand country house initially. Overall size 14 inches x 7 inches with the slot opening being 7 inches x 1.5 inches. Ideal if you have a letter box the correct size which you could use this mounting surround to frame it with, or equally if you have your post slot in a outside wall this could be used to good effect. Another use maybe, using it to frame a house name if you had your house name plate made to fit this mounting. Please note, this item is a surround only not an actual complete letter box with flap.
