Item Details

Unusual small cast iron orangery display figures. Continental in origin probably French. Believed to be early 20th century in date, however they are most likely cast from an original late 19th century mould patterns. Unusually elaborate & detailed casting for such small cast iron figures. The left figure depicts a seated lady in contemplative pose. The taller figure a lady lent upon a plinth with a musical instrument. Unknown maker. Please see the last image for approximate dimensions. Hollow cast iron construction. Weight approximately 12kg the pair. Original untouched painted finish which is time worn. Price is for the pair & includes UK inland delivery. Additional images can be available on request.
