https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/amanda-leaderThis is a wonderful textile, these antique sacks are getting quite hard to find now. This dates to the late 1800s/early 1900s.
This is a great example, it's a tightly woven hemp in a herringbone weave and really sturdy fabric that's not too heavy or stiff. Beautifully faded to a gorgeous cafe au lait colour.
I have unpicked the sack and washed it so now you have one long length of fabric, ready for all sorts of interiors projects; these make a great floor cushions or bench pads.
Some small damage, of course, but it is really minimal, just small nicks. Just a couple of tiny rust spots.
Freshly laundered and ready for use.
UK postage £5.
