Item Description
Delightful entirely hand stitched set of cocktail or teatime tablecloth and six little matching napkins. Pure linen, hand stitched and still in the original box, it's all rather charming. French, mid 1900s.
Although the wording on the little label translates as "washed and pressed, ready for use" I'd probably give it a quick wash before use although there are no marks.
My grandmother would have called this a "trolley cloth" and used it on the big trolley that was wheeled out for high tea!
