Item Details

Unused large pure linen sheet dating to the 1940s. It is gorgeous weighty but cool and smooth pure linen. This hadn't been laundered when I found it but it has now been soaked and washed and is ready for use. As you can see there is a little creasing in the fabric due to a small amount of the sizing remaining. This will go completely in the next few washes and the sheet will be even smoother and more lovely!

It is entirely hand stitched, of course, with a hand wrapped ladder return hem and central monogram of the letters RB or BB; it is hard to be sure. A classy piece just waiting to shine. Wonderfully comfortable to sleep under or a beautiful curtain.
